I second your opinion. Bharti Airtel can return to India for all I care. Go Safcom GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So if Bharti returns to India, where should Vodafone return to?

Amazing how anything British/white is ok, but if its a third world company...rudi nyumbani...blah blah
If Bharti were to exit... safcon would start screwing us at 10/- per minute... And ship 60%+ of profits to UK/abroad...

@VituVingiSana

I agree with you, those wishing Bharti does not sustain the low rates should be thanking Zain for they are now enjoying lower rates at least for a month courtesy of Zain's bold move. If Bharti quits, we will back to monopoly and who suffers, you and me. As you hold on to hardline positions, think of the consequences.

The competition however should make business sense else no need of investing.

The competition will be beneficial to shareholders unless one company opts out. We will have low calling rates and a lot of loyality promotions to retain customers. They will be a lot of innovation.

The next price war will be fought on data; read 3G, 4G. That is when things will be exciting

When Zain 'table' introduced vuka, we thought that was the end... But years down the line, Zain's market share dwindled.

The low calling rates are welcome. But if Zain wants market share, they better make better product propositions.

Suppose, all other network operators respond and lower their rates below Zain's? I think they are fighting a losing battle.

At least they should have just lowered the rates without sounding a war cry.

Shame on you I think sometimes its a matter of believing in yourself, your product. It must be a very trying moment for Safcon, they should not lose focus and let their products lose the confidence that people have entrusted upon them overtime. If you're good, faithful people will stick with you. For Zain, let them not celebrate too early, this is a long haul.For now, I'm retaining Safaricom.

I was disgusted by Watermelons during the Referendum campaign lakini now I am all for them!
