It depends on what the water will be used for. Most of the water being sold in Nairobi comes from wells sunk in some shady places where there is no sewage/canalisation. Where do you think the some waste water from those pit latrines goes to? It joins other water underground and goes into those wells. Not all is sucked by the 'honey sucker'. This is then pumped into those water tankers and sold as 'clean' water. So if the so-called honey sucker has been cleaned thoroughly the water therein is also clean. If you have to use that water for drinking purposes,then make sure you boil and filter it well; if possible use those 'water purifying' tablets.
