I have 15K shares of CMC bought at heydays '06,07 when CMC splitted 10-1 .This stock have gone drasticaly down or constant, and untill now no any news to back up this stock in growth or any new innovations....Or has anyone heard anything promising ?Now im expriencing a heavy loss in this stock, and im thinking of selling half of the stake and take a loss to divert it into one of the quick moving stock, such as ,MUMIAS, COOP,Equity or NIC,CENTUM .This is a move im thinking of undertaking as away of trying to recover some of my losses.Question is what yr opinions my dear investors??and what is the right stock to target that can impact the positive respond right away??

So u want a good stock . Sell half of your stock @ cmc then buy Co-op bank . I even calculated its target price to be 27.00 . With a forward p/e 12.50 .

@wanyina why did you buy cmc in the first place? Stable div, earnings growth, under valued, speculation? Used that as a basis for your decision. If you don't know where you are going, any road will lead you there lol

Forgive me. I didn't mean to LOL. It's a personal joke I remembered. My broker once advised me to buy mumias @55 because he was seeing it hitting 100 in a week. I bought, and as much as I wasn't laughing then, now I can.

I remember the rumours about KPLC splitting the shares (or a huge bonus) in 2007... then came PEV & drought...

Not sure about the Bonus but definitely a split... they announced something of the sort in Nov 2009...

The question is how big??? 5:1 or 10:1 or 20:1???

I'm here!

For newcomers, I've held this stock for longer than most Kenyans have been alive!!

At one time [year 2000], CMC accounted for about 50% of my portfolio.

I have fully collected all sums invested and I am not in a hurry to liquidate the stock. In fact, I started adding more from mid-August.

I'm probably not the right person to ask about it because I might be biased...having held it for the last 17 or so years.
