Intelligentsia....what crap!!! U are complaining because, we the consumers are getting a better deal?!! Ur "bitchin" about competition and the effects of capitalism? R u serious??? If I were u, I would sell scom shares coz the era of super profits is gone!! The days of calling other networks at 36bob a minute are over! We got exploited for long enough. It's time someone brought the game to scom. Btw, airtel know what they are doing, I have seen and used their network in india,....these guys follow the typical " muhindi " business model, high volumes, low margins and as you have seen in many areas of business even in Kenya, it works well.

correct me if Im wrong, but is Essar related to Bharti in some way? Are they subsidiaries to another company? If so Watch out Safaricom.

Nope they are actually competitors. Essar is really no match for airtel though.

Zain to safaricom 3 bob.....

Hapo Safaricom wamewezwa....No more harvesting from perculiar habits....and ignorance

I beg to Move .....Zain/bharti is the way ......I will enjoy while it last....nobody can convince me otherwise.....its my hard earned cash.....

Where is my purse....there was a dormant zain line ...I'm rushing to the nearby Kiosk.....for airtime....

Its 9.50am and sufferingCON is 8 bob to sfacom; 12 bob to others.

Zain is 3 bob everywhere...

R some people for real? Unbelievable seeing as it is..I dont care about the interconcharges or whatever else....atleast it is better to have 10 million callers and make a a bob..it equals 10 million, rather than have 2 million callers and make three times the bob- since that will be 6m....

Anywei my concern is my pocket ...even if the offer lasts for 1 day or whatever I will go for it..I know it is soo much work., but if I can save why not...all my three registered lines =zain for calls, u = mebb calls later, safcon=mpesa where unavoidable....

Competition is soo healthy for everyone...monopoly is a killer of economy and it freezes us to death..coz we dont have a choice..
few examples - multichoice kenya..I am still reeling in the suffering I underwent at the start of world cup....sijawahi subscribe tena..
But due to lack of choice I've to do it for my entertainment outfit- supersport...
Shame on that GTV, i would be glad if they were still available...do u know how fast I had enrolled and thrown my DSTV decorder away...what a shame I had to go backl to them...

Remember government institutions, people were paid but never did their jobs, besides si kama uko na choice uende...

wenye wanavuka....we will not suffer as much, atleast the customer care headache will have been shared...whoever gets thru safcon customer service anywei?

As for what safcon call accussations by zain..that was their counter attack..jamming zain to safcon calls....guys guys guys, a zain line is only 30 bob....less than three safcon to u, zain calls and we can all move and call zain to zain.... todays paper has even retail, prices from EABL...savings from airtime calling can be used that way....
